How to order a Custom Piece

Visit our shop, call, fax or email us with a description of the design you're interested in. Please include as many of the specifics as you might know (general design, sizing, wood species, finish ideas and budget concerns, etc.). Include any sketches or photos you might have to help us better envision what you have in mind. We'll be prompt in getting back in touch to clarify the project specifics and provide a price quote for the project.



Dickerson Design requires a 50% deposit to start any order. The balance and shipping cost are due before shipping. Large Custom orders may require 75% deposit for materials. Payments can be made by check or paypal.


Lead time is 8-10 weeks. Time may be shorter depending on bookings. Furniture is delivered on company truck within our delivery area. Call for delivery information. If shipping is out of delivery area, we will ship with reputable moving companies. Furniture is usually blanket wrap delivery. Shipping cost will be estimated for each job upon request. Most companies will not deliver to your door without additional fees. Please discuss any special handing you might need, due to limited access such as, elevators, stairs and time. Shipping charges will be added to balance and due in full before delivery.


All furniture is custom made to order. All sales are final. Furniture is carefully inspected before it is shipped. If you are not satisfied with your purchase you must contact Dickerson Design within 5 days of receipt of your order. We will do everything possible within reason to resolve issues to furniture.

Changing or cancelling your order

Any order can be cancelled or changed up to 7 days after the original order date. A refund will be given in the same payment method as the deposit payment. If you want to make any changes to the order, design, material, or size within the seven day cancelation period. These would be subject to appropriate up charge or reduction in price.

If you need to make changes to order after it has been placed in production it will be reviewed on an order by order basis, based on the amount of work done, and the amount of work to change. Charges will include material and labor cost involved.


Moving companies will inspect all furniture before picking up and sign that the furniture was picked up in good condition. If your furniture arrives damaged in any way, you will need to speak directly with the movers delivering the furniture to file a claim, as they would be directly responsible. Dickerson Design will do everything possible to help resolve any damage claims and repairs.

All personal information you give us is kept confidential and protected with the utmost care, and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented. Additionally, we will not sell any of your information to a third party.
